METREX
Metrex is an organisation which brings together European regions and metropolitan areas. Poland has hosted METREX conferences twice before: in Krakow in 1997 and in 2006 in Szczecin.From the point of view of conference interpretation, the event was quite extraordinary – despite being held in Poland the conference did not use Polish as a working language, relying on direct interpretation between English, German, French and Italian. Our interpreters were teamed up with full-time METREX interpreters. We are happy to say that their work was rated very highly by their colleagues, the organisers and conference participants. We would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate Ms Joanna Kłębicka, Mr Aleksander Żurawski, Mr Grzegorz Kozłowski and Mr Ryszard Matuszewski on their great performance.
